Cleanliness Standards
We provide "health checks" on cleanliness standards starting from just £695 - see below.
The first part of a survey assessing the quality of the local
environment across England (LEQSE) was published in August 2007. The survey gives detailed information on the performance of 174 local authority areas on the management of key street-level environmental problems including litter, fly tipping, fly-posting and graffiti. Results for the remaining 179 English local authority areas will be published next year. The local level survey builds on the existing national survey, which is carried out for Defra annually by ENCAMS. See www.encams.org/leqreports.
On average, around 52% of sites surveyed across England were assessed as being of unsatisfactory or poor standard. Those authorities will be keen to make improvements before the next surveys are carried out, but not all of them will have either the budget to make service improvements or the resources to analyse the reports and get to the heart of the problems. That's where EQIP can help.
As a company devoted to improving public service quality and efficiency, EQIP offers a number of different packages to provide a “health check” of your street cleansing operation and measurement of its effectiveness and, most importantly, to recommend cost-effective ways to improve cleanliness and ensure better LEQSE results next time round.
We achieve this by taking the viewpoint of the customer/end user. We make an unbiased assessment of the impact of the service and make recommendations aimed at positively improving the end product.
Our “Initial Assessment” provides a cost-effective fixed-price starting point. It includes further analysis of your LEQSE report and our own on-site “snapshot” of operational procedures, cleanliness standards and customer perceptions. We will report back our findings in written form to outline where effective improvements can be made – and not just through additional funding! We provide this for a one-off fee of just £695.
After that, we may be retained to carry out a more in-depth exercise and we will be happy to negotiate mutually acceptable terms, but either way the starting blocks to make a difference will have been put into place.
