Quality
The Government described Quality as one of the cornerstones of its Best Value programme in the late 1990's and we certainly advocate that, especially following the revision of the ISO 9000 standard. The new "Millennium" standard, BS EN ISO 9001:2000, has at its heart the aspects of customer focus and continual improvement that should now be core to all local government departments as part of their improvement and performance management processes. It doesn't necessarily need to be an accredited system, but the establishment of a Quality Management System that meets the standard should be the foundation of all other activity. We can assist in the production, maintenance and development of a quality management system, which can be progressed to achieve accreditation to the British Standard, including assisting in the production and management of all aspects found within the Standard and training for both management and staff. We bring a successful model that has already achieved accreditation with BSI to ISO 9001:2000, which replaced the previously heavily-worded Quality Manual with a series of flowcharts that clearly show everybody's responsibilities within each process.
